YajHFC is a client for the HylaFAX fax server written completely in Java.
tiff2pdf from the libtiff utilities package (optional)
Screenshots of the program can be found here.
If you would like to receive news about YajHFC automatically by email, you can subscribe to the yajhfc-announce mailing list.
The current version can be downloaded from the project page on BerliOS.
If you just want to run the application, download only the JAR file (e.g. yajhfc-0_3_5.jar for version 0.3.5).
You can run YajHFC by executing the command java -jar yajhfc-0_3_5.jar or by simply double-clicking the downloaded file (on most platforms).
(If you downloaded another version, use a different file name, of course).
If you intend to run YajHFC under Windows, you can alternatively download the setup.exe (e.g. yajhfc-0_3_5-setup.exe for version 0.3.5).
This setup creates nice start menu and desktop icons for YajHFC and automatically adds a "fax printer" under Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
If you are interested in the source code, get the source archive (e.g. yajhfc-0_3_2-src.zip for version 0.3.2) from the project page and
the gnu.hylafax library from http://gnu-hylafax.sourceforge.net/.
For instructions how to build YajHFC from the source code please see the file BUILDING.txt included in the source archive.
YajHFC uses the following third-party packages (you don't need to download any of these just to run YajHFC, however):
TableLayout.jar from https://tablelayout.dev.java.net/.
The necessary classes from this package are included in the jar sub-directory of the source archive.
jlfgr-1_0.jar)
from http://java.sun.com/developer/techDocs/hi/repository/.
The necessary GIF files from this package are included in the jar sub-directory of the source archive, too.
Starting with version 0.3.7 YajHFC supports a plugin that adds support for cover pages in XSL:FO and ODT (OpenDocument Text) format. You can download it from the project page on BerliOS, too.
If you just want to run the application, download the zip file containing the binary distribution (e.g. YajHFC-0_3_7-FOPPlugin_0_1.zip) for YajHFC 0.3.7 with the FOP plugin version 0.1).
The plugin distribution includes a current version of YajHFC and all required libraries for convenience (so you don't need to download anything else). See the included README file (readme.pdf) for installation instructions.
If you intend to run YajHFC including the FOP Plugin under Windows, you can alternatively download the setup.exe (e.g. yajhfc-0_3_7-FOPPlugin-0_1-setup.exe for YajHFC 0.3.7 with the FOP plugin version 0.1).
This setup creates nice start menu and desktop icons for YajHFC and automatically adds a "fax printer" under Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
If you are interested in the source code, get the source archive (e.g. FOPPlugin-0_1-src.zip for version 0.1) from the project page, a JAR file of YajHFC and
the Apache FOP library from http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/.
For instructions how to build the plugin from the source code please see the file BUILDING.txt included in the source archive.
Versions newer than (and including) 0.3.0 can be found on the project page, too.
Versions older than 0.3.0 can be found here.
